Narrowcasting on Google TV.

A Chromecast with Google TV fits behind any screen with an HDMI port, costs just a few dollars, and is set up in a few minutes. That makes it the most popular way to turn existing screens into Stremo screens, especially across multiple locations.

The benefits

Any screen, live in minutes

You don't have to buy new TVs: the streamer makes the screen you already have smart. Affordable, available everywhere, and easy to roll out.

Chromecast works on any screen with HDMI

Works on any screen with HDMI

TV, monitor, or large commercial display: if it has an HDMI input, it works. The streamer tucks neatly away behind the screen.

Low purchase cost

Low cost per screen

A Chromecast with Google TV costs a fraction of a new TV. That lets you fit out larger numbers of screens affordably too.

Roll out quickly across multiple locations

Quick to roll out

Plug in the streamer, install the app, enter the pairing code. That's how you set up multiple locations in a single afternoon.

How to connect a Chromecast to Stremo

Connect the Chromecast to the HDMI input and a power outlet, join it to Wi-Fi, and install the Stremo app from the Play Store. When it starts, a pairing code appears that you enter in your dashboard. After that, your screen is live right away.

  • Connect to HDMI and power
  • Install the Stremo app from the Play Store
  • Enter the pairing code, live right away

For TVs with Google TV built in, too

More and more TVs come with Google TV already on board. On those you install the Stremo app directly and no longer need a separate streamer. So you choose per screen what's most convenient: built in, or with a Chromecast behind it.

  • Chromecast with Google TV behind existing screens
  • TVs with Google TV built in, no streamer needed
  • Same app, same pairing

Multiple locations? Here's how to roll it out

The Chromecast is especially handy across multiple locations: you ship each location a streamer, they plug it in and enter the pairing code. In your dashboard you put the screens per location into a screen group, so you publish centrally and deviate per location where needed.

  • A screen group per location with its own content
  • Publish centrally, add locally
  • New location added: ship a streamer and pair it

FAQ

Questions about Stremo with Google TV

1. Does every Chromecast work?
Plus

You need a Chromecast with Google TV: the version with a remote that lets you install apps. The older Chromecasts without Google TV can't run apps.

2. Do I need Wi-Fi?
Plus

The Chromecast connects over Wi-Fi by default. If you want a wired connection, you can use an ethernet adapter for the Chromecast.

3. Does the screen keep working if the internet drops?
Plus

Yes. Your content is stored on the device and keeps running without a connection. As soon as the internet is back, the screen automatically pulls in the latest changes.

4. Is Google TV included in every plan?
Plus

Yes. Your subscription doesn't depend on which platform your screens run on; you pay per screen, not per device type. View the pricing for the details.
